![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So to achieve a goal of $8 billion, Take-Two would need to make significant acquisitions, or release nearly double the amount of games it historically has, or release at least one absolute behemoth of a game. ![]() Prior to this, Take-Two's regular annual net bookings were looking roughly in $3 billion ballpark and steadily rising - it took the acquisition of a major mobile developer to see them leap over $1 billion in the space of a single year. Notably, this record was reached thanks to the contributions of Zynga, which it acquired last year. For one, Take-Two's net bookings this past fiscal year reached $5.3 billion - a record annual high. While Take-Two doesn't explicitly name Grand Theft Auto here, it's hard to imagine any other franchise doing this work for them. We expect to sustain this momentum by delivering even higher levels of operating results in Fiscal 2026 and beyond. In Fiscal 2025, we expect to enter this new era by launching several groundbreaking titles that we believe will set new standards in our industry and enable us to achieve over $8 billion in Net Bookings and over $1 billion in Adjusted Unrestricted Operating Cash Flow. "For the last several years, we have been preparing our business to release an incredibly robust pipeline of projects that we believe will take our company to even greater levels of success. For context, fiscal 2025 will begin in April of 2024: Looking ahead, Fiscal 2025 is a highly anticipated year for our Company," the release states. If the studio is actually targeting a 2024 release date, it's likely that official reveals and a marketing campaign from the studio will begin over the next year.In a press release issued alongside its yearly earnings report, Take-Two shared projections for the coming years, including a massive projection for fiscal years 20. Of course, fans are still awaiting official news from Rockstar surrounding Grand Theft Auto 6 to confirm whether this will be the case. With the information provided by leaks surrounding GTA 6, particularly the ones confirmed to be real by the studio, it would be more surprising if Rockstar did release the title on previous-gen consoles, as the game simply appears to be too powerful to run on the base versions of the PS4 and Xbox One, and may even be too stressful for the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. However, it seems inevitable that if GTA 6 has a new GTA Online 2 of sorts, that Rockstar's attention will begin to shift to these future iterations of the game at some point. For example, the recent Los Santos Drug Wars arc has been made available to all GTA Online players on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Fortunately, this isn't the case with GTA Online's major mission additions for now. Rockstar had previously had to leave a console generation in the past with its original PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of GTA Online when it moved to PS4 and Xbox One and stopped providing updates for the previous versions, making the fan concerns that they would do the same after the PS5 and Xbox Series S/X re-release valid. ![]()
